‘본드25′ 연출 유력 후보로 알려진 영국 영화감독, 대니 보일(Danny Boyle)이 새로운 ‘본드25′ 스크립트를 준비 중이라고 데드라인이 전했다.
데드라인에 따르면, 대니 보일은 구체적인 제임스 본드 영화 아이디어가 있으며, ‘트레인스파팅(Trainspotting)’ 스크린라이터, 존 하지(John Hodge)와 함께 보일이 구상한 아이디어를 기초로 한 새로운 ‘본드25′ 스크립트 작업을 하고 있다고 한다. 만약 대니 보일이 ‘본드25′ 연출을 맡는다면 지금까지 007 제작진이 준비해온 ‘본드25′ 스크립트를 사용하지 않고 보일과 하지가 준비한 새로운 스크립트를 사용하게 될 것이라고 한다.
“Boyle had an idea for a very specific 007 movie, and he and his Trainspotting partner John Hodge have teamed up to work out the beats. Hodge is writing that version and if it all works out, that would be the 007 film that Boyle would helm.” – Deadline.com
007 제작진은 007 시리즈 베테랑 스크린라이터, 닐 퍼비스(Neal Purvis)와 로버트 웨이드(Robert Wade)가 ‘본드25′ 스크립트를 맡았다고 공식 발표한 바 있다. 그러나 만약 007 제작진이 보일과 하지가 준비한 새로운 ‘본드25′ 스크립트에 만족하고 보일에게 연출을 맡기면 퍼비스와 웨이드가 준비해온 ‘본드25′ 스크립트를 밀어내고 보일과 하지의 새로운 스크립트로 대체하게 된다.
만약 007 제작진이 보일과 하지의 새로운 ‘본드25′ 스크립트를 선택하지 않으면 보일은 ‘본드25′ 연출을 맡지 않을 것이며, 007 제작진은 퍼비스와 웨이드가 준비한 ‘본드25′ 스크립트로 다시 되돌아가 새로운 영화감독을 물색하게 될 것이라고 데드라인이 전했다.
“Hodge won’t be done for a couple of months, but when he turns in the script, one of two things will happen. MGM and the producers will like it enough to shelve the movie they were contemplating — the listed writers are Neal Purvis & Robert Wade, whose 007 credits include Skyfall, Spectre and Casino Royale — and they will instead make the version that was cooked up by the Trainspotting team. Otherwise, Boyle won’t direct the film and it will be back to the other script, for which MGM and the producers had assembled a short list consisting of a trio of cool directors Deadline told you about last summer: ’71 helmer Yann Demange, Blade Runner 2049 helmer Denis Villeneuve and Hell or High Water director David Mackenzie.” – Deadline.com
